PROJECT
FINISHED
The project focuses on countering the problem of unsatisfactory cross-border cooperation and lack of common identity in the South Baltic region. The aim of the project is to foster creation of a unique identity of the cross-border area of Poland, Lithuania and Sweden achieved through international cooperation of cultural institutions. The project will result in staging of 16 cultural-workshops (5 in each country+ one during the final conference) which will attract over 10000 people. The cultural-workshop will be inspired by a rich and diverse cultural heritage of the three countries building on the songs of the national bards from each country. It will be a musical cultural- workshop where artistic-educators will sing songs from other countries translated to their mother language. As an example: in Poland there will be songs of Swedish bards sang in three languages, in Sweden songs of Lithuanian bards sang but other combinations will also possible. Achievements: The project realised the wide cooperation between three cultural institutions. Simultaneously it showed other cultural institutions that mutual cooperation is more than possible, and due to mutual actions a lot can be gained – both when it comes to experiencing different cultures, exchanging drama workshops or the promotion of the cultures. Trainings organized within the project facilitated experience and knowledge exchange between artistic-educators, directors and technical staff. The project was organised in 2 phases: the preparatory phase where the script, choreography, music etc. and trainings for experience exchange were organized and the cultural-workshop phase where the roles are rehearsed and the final cultural-workshops were executed. Those two stages were horizontally supported by the management of the project and promotional activities.
