"International family" (IF) is an EVS project coordinated by InCo, where international volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in the activities of 2 different HOs: 1 in Italy - ViVi (in the city of Vicenza) besides 1 in Kenya (WTF, Nakuru). Both Hos hosts children with different levels of social difficulties/exclusion, providing assistance and the environment of a family life.Part of this project can be considered a follow-up activity of the Action 3.2 “Steps towards change”, coordinated by the Slovak partner KERIC: there was a reinforcements of collaboration between KERIC, InCo and ACI. This is also the 2nd project involving WTF fostering a multiplying effect and sustainable impact in the local communities (in Nakuru as well as in Italy).The Activity foster the intercultural exchange, active citizenship and fight against marginalization.The 4 volunteers included in this project should be from Italy, Slovakia and Costa Rica enjoying from this experience during a long term period (12 months). They will support the staff of the respective HOs in their work with children in an active way and contributing with their own ideas and culture. We expect that volunteers, children, staff and local community have the chance to learn from each other, to share experiences and points of view, fostering so tolerance and inclusion in an environment of an INTERNATIONAL FAMILY.
