International cooperation for VET providers
Start date: Apr 1, 2016, End date: Mar 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project proposal derives from two EQAVET EACEA 46/2015 Priorities: • Deepening the culture of quality assurance in VET- the importance of feedback loops and the review phase of the quality cycle• Strengthening mutual co-operation among NRPs in order to address implementation- NRPS and the work with VET providers The project proposes collaboration between Malta and Ireland NRPs, with respective publicly funded VET partners, and will operate in both jurisdictions. Ireland will be responsible for the overall project management through the EQAVET NRP, and in collaboration with a project steering group to be established including Maltese and Irish NRPs, and VET providers/organisations from each country at leadership level. Progress within each jurisdiction is the responsibility of each NRP. Each agency is working to support the continued development of a culture of quality assurance within VET practice. The project addresses the challenges of developing self evaluation processes, procedures and criteria as part of an overall culture of reflection, analysis and action throughout provision (‘continuous information’) and within the review phase (‘feedback loops’) of the quality cycle. This acknowledges the fact that feedback and review are part of a continuous process and culture, as well as having a distinct formal phase within the quality cycle. In addition, the NRP collaboration adds value to national practice through the introduction of externality and diversity in perspectives which will enrich outcomes, and which we hope will enable the development of connections which will be of long term benefit where international perspectives are required within self evaluation processes within national quality assurance systems.Deliverables include Internal Quality Assurance policies developed by VET providers, case studies indicating current approaches, recommendations from seminar participants, relevant draft principles / guidelines for the agreed thematic aspects.
