PROJECT
FINISHED
The project 'INTERnationalizing INTER: one step forward' is a great bet for INTER Institute to take 'one step further' the internationalization strategy initiated 2 years ago with the aim of turning mobility into an essential element in the centre, both for students and staff, thus also contributing to the improvement of the educational community. In particular, it includes mobility over a year far more varied than in previous projects, diversifying the countries of destination and the duration thereof and including virtually all sectors of medium level VET from the centre and certificates of professionalism level II of the health sector. With this are trying to widen the sense of European dimension that has mobility for studies or practices throughout our community. For the staff mobilities we have searched "job shadowing" options in homologous centres in order to learn as much as possible on management of internships/workplacements in centres with our same sectors , at the time that observe different methodologies and ways of their management staff. And this would be another aim of the internationalization strategy of the centre: introducing improvements and changes in the curriculum of the centre, in particular in the internships management in the Dual system and in the non-professional practices methodology of technical modules of the grades. In short, what we try to achieve with 'INTERnationalizing INTER: one step forward' is keeping on the process of expansion in Europe, including all actors involved in the institution (students, centre, companies), getting a better educational development of our students and encouraging thus our teachers. For the students, besides trying to get for them a quality internship abroad, they get to enhance their employability by providing them with the necessary tools to do so (better experience, more social skills, better competences in foreign languages) and offering them a unique life experience that will make them to see the mobility and Europe as something close and useful. For teachers, trying to get their refreshment of teaching methods, ways to manage internships as tutors, the willing to improve and learn more, the improvement of linguistic skills, etc. it would make them to be more and better involved in the centre strategy, both the internationalization and the educational development. For the rest of the staff involved in the mobility and receiver of all the innovations that will be applied during and after the project, it should involve wanting to participate over the centre policies to help to their achievement and thus also contribute to the results. The project consists of the following mobilities groups:1) mobility to develop the full FCTs module of 3 trainees of Auxiliary Care Nursing VET to Italy (12 weeks), performing ptheir internship in quality institutions dependent on the Regional Healthcare Service of Molese (ASREM).2) mobility to develop the FCTs module partially of 3 trainees of Vehicles Electromechanics VET to Italy (6 weeks) performing their insternship in companies where the own host centre students (IIS Codogno, homologous centre) habitually do it.3) mobility to carry out internships of 10 trainees of Auxiliary Care Nursing VET and certificate of professionalism of Social Healthcare (level II) to Belgium; in centres where the students of the homologous centre usually perform them (Athénée Royal Aywaille, host partner).4) mobility of 2 teachers from the Healthcare Department of the centre to Italy (to a homologous collaborating centre of Submeet, the intermediary company) to carry out job shadowing for 3 days, in which the program of activities includes visiting the centre and 2 companies that usually host its students in health practices, training in the educational system of VET of Italy, methods used in the centre, and monitoring management of the internships.5) mobility of 2 teachers from the Mechanics Department of the centre to Italy (homologous collaborating centre in this project for the mobility of students, IIS Codogno) to perform job shadowing for 3 days, in which the program of activities includes visiting the centre and 2 companies that usually host its students in practices, training in the educational system of VET of Italy, methods used in the centre, and monitoring management of the internships.6) mobility of 3 staff participants from the centre (Administration and Teaching) to Estonia during 3 days (to the homologous centre collaborating in this project, Haapsalu) to make job shadowing for 3 days, in which the program of activities includes visiting the centre and companies that usually host its students in internships, VET educational system in Estonia, centre managament, methodologies, etc.
