International projects financed by the European Union have been realized by Secondary vocational school Handlová since 2005. They have become an inseparable part of education. This trend continues in the project “Internationalization of vocational training“. For the first time, we have integrated the mobility of students and teaching staff in this project. And we have realized such an extensive project for the first time, too. 94 participants in 7 turns travelled to 3 partner schools with grant 174630 €. The main aim of both groups of participants was education in international schools, improvement of professional and language competences and mainly individual professional development of participants. A brief description of participants, activities and aims of realized turns: The first turn (5/10–24/10/2014), the sixth turn (8/11–27/11/2015), Coleg Cambria, Wrexham, Great Britain) 24 students of Bilingual business academy and 4 teachers travelled abroad. The aim of vocational internship was to broad English language skills in specialized terminology on the level B2/C1 SERR, which will be used in the state exam, to broad knowledge and practical skills in the field of tourism and enterprise, to improve communication, responsibility and adaptability of participants. Participants got to know the way of life in Great Britain because they had many excursions in tourist centres in the North Wales. This internship was the part of subjects like Corporate economy and Enterprise in tourism. The second turn (2/11–14/11/2014), the fifth turn (9/11–20/11/2015), Secondary apprentice electrotechnical school, Pilsen, the Czech Republic 24 students of branches Mechanic of Computer Networks, Mechatronics and Technical Lyceum and 4 teachers travelled abroad. The aim was to carry out practical training in the Workshop of automatization, Workshop of measurement and electronics and the Workshop of digital technologies. Students worked in five groups with these topics - the network technologies CISCO, microprocessor technique, camera systems, programming Simatic and security technique. They visited the technical museum Techmánia Pilsen and attended the lecture in the University of Pilsen. Acquired skills were recognized as the parts of subjects like Practice and Practical training. The third turn (24/11–29/11/2014), Secondary apprentice electrotechnical school, Pilsen, the Czech Republic. 10 teachers from Secondary vocational school Handlová visited school in Pilsen. The aim was to attend lectures about new technologies and about progressive teaching methods. They could monitor students as well as teachers during lessons and had possibility to teach in foreign country. The participants attended 2 seminars - Support for technical education and Continual training of teachers in the Czech Republic. The acquired information was implemented into changes of the teaching curriculum for school educational programs. The teachers were inspired by the organisation of the teaching in classrooms and these experiences will be used in creating of the Training Centre. The fourth turn (26/04–8/05/2015), Coleg Cambria, Wrexham, Great Britain. 12 students of Digital media graphic designer travelled with 2 teachers. The aim of this project was to improve knowledge and practical skills in the field of digital media, to create and process various objects in specialized programmes like Photoshop or Illustrator, to improve communication, responsibility and adaptability of participants. Participants got to know the way of life in Great Britain. These aims were fulfilled by various activities like taking pictures of the country, material processing in graphic programmes, video editing or other works assigned by tutors. The internship was recognized as the part of the subject Practical training. The seventh turn (18/04–29/04/2016), Secondary school of electrotechnology and energetic, Sokolnice, the Czech Republic. 12 students of branches Technical Lyceum and Electrotechnology travelled with 2 teachers. Students gained skills and improved their knowledge in the fields of energetic and high-current wiring. The internship was recognized as the part of the subjects Practical training and Practice. The students worked headed by school tutors and mentored by accompanying persons. All participants received the Europass Mobility, the Professional and language certificates. The project was successfully completed, the goals are met, and the contacts with partners are made. The project was successful because of reliable partners, functioning project management and students who travelled and spread the good name of the school, Slovakia and Erasmus project. The aims of the project push our teaching process and develop vocational education and training at European level. These projects are helpful for the recognition of qualifications in the European and the national qualifications framework.
