Intergenerational Learning in Organisations
Start date: Oct 1, 2007,
A changing European demography coupled with an increasing need for technical competence in many sectors, led to the Intergenerational Learning (IGLOO) project being launched. Conscious of the potential for conflict, in particular within learning and training situations, with younger workers increasingly at the helm, the IGLOO project targeted human resources professionals and aimed at capacity-building in order to better manage intergenerational-learning and to minimise the risk of workplace conflict. A dedicated teaching and learning model was developed taking into account the latest workplace learning strategies and techniques and focusing specifically upon intergenerational learning and knowledge exchange in the workplace. The primary output for the project was an online training course in intergenerational learning.
