Association "Imagine" is the bearer of the project "Intercultural Youth Exchange-Diversity"(Intercultural diversity), which was held from 26.7. to 4.8.2010. on the island of Krk, the campingresort Ježevac. In the exchange of young people participated eighteen participants from Slovenia,Latvia and Croatia. The project aimed to connect young people to learn from each other andstrengthen awareness of each other's differences but also build a sense of European citizenship.Participants were from different religious, ethnic, cultural background, they had different experiencesof education in the countries they came from, and half of the participants were people withdisabilities.During the youth exchange there were present methods of interactive participation and experientiallearning for all participants. Given that the objective of the project (learning from each other and raiseawareness about mutual differences) were young people, throughout the whole exchange theyworked in nationally mixed, smaller groups, and participated in the preparation of the theater,creative, sporting and community workshops.Young people were mutually connected, they were exchanging experiences on the work of theassociation from which they came from, they were showing examples of good practice, contactaddresses and they showed their interest for future joint cooperation.
