It is one of our school's goal to prepare our students for an internationally linked working world. Due to this Frankenlandschule Walldürn is about to push its internationalisation. Actually, the school offers a wide range of opportunities to its students. Since 2012/2013 our trainees participate in Erasmus+ programmes regularly. Since 2011 our grammar school students attend lessons in International Business and Economics. These students and others from our sixth form take part in several excursions to Shanghai and last year they participated in several eTwinning projects, too. Against the background of internationalisation we have formed a team which is in charge of organising the above mentioned projects. One team member is going to take part in this Erasmus+ programme to establish new contacts with possible European partners. This team member teaches English and International Business and Economics. He has already worked in the field of Erasmus+, Comenius and eTwinning. During the stay in Galway he will get to know more about the Irish culture and its traditions and habits. Due to the teacher further training at Bridge Mills Galway language centre and cultural excursions he will improve both his language/cultural skills and the competent use of modern technologies in the classroom. Our students will benefit from these outcoming results in the short term and in the long term. Firstly, the teacher's improvement in language skills and cultural awareness enables him to bring Ireland's traditions into the local classroom. Secondly, participating in this Erasmus+ programme helps to strengthen the path into internationalisation and cooperation with European partners. This enables Frankenlandschule Walldürn and its staff to add the international aspect to its school policy. Additionally, this Erasmus+ programme will help us on our way to offer lessons on an individual level for our students. As a consequence our students will be better prepared for the requirements of a globalised working world.
