The project will develop guidance and counselling tools for use by professionals and clients in the health and social work sectors. Computer-based multi-media guidance and counselling tools will assist professionals in their delivery of services with limited resources and will provide a better service for clients needing advice on training and employment opportunities in these sectors. Moving away from text-based and face-to-face meetings, clients will be provided with computer-based learning which they can adapt and use at their own pace and according to their own needs. Interactive multimedia scenarios, emphasising visual and dialogue-based learning, will be developed for the web for use by clients. Clients will be taken through a series of steps in their use of the interactive guidance tool and will be supported in this with traditional face-to-face advice from professionals. A training programme will be developed to train professionals in the application of interactive tools alongside traditional face-to-face advice. A 'best practice' manual, regarding the delivery of new services to clients, will be developed by the project partners. The prototype guidance/counselling tools and manual will be piloted with selected groups of professionals and clients and adjusted after feedback. The final web-based model will be available in DA, EN & DE. Each of the project partners has a strong national dissemination network at their disposal to deliver the project's results to a wide audience. This will be supported by an international dissemination strategy including a final conference in Denmark.
