The cooperative Franco-British project is a co-ordinated multi-agency approach for supporting"at risk" young people. The project will establish a team of five workers and a manager to work with agencies and existing projects to :* provide targeted support within secondary schools, and offer a range of activities to re-engage and motivate disaffected young people and improve their employability ; add value to the capacities of citizens to act in their social environment* promote social cohesion in areas of high deprivation by involving communities in the development and implementation of the project* support cross-channel educational/training exchanges for young people and personnel, and establish a European Diploma in multi-agency work for professionals. The majority of the sites of action are on major road and/or rail links (e.g. Eurostar) in each of the regions.
