The project "Integration through tolerance and creativity" is based on the current needs of the HochVier training staff which mainly works with refugees, migrants of different educational backgrounds and citizens in the rural regions of Brandenurg adnwhich recently realizes educationa activities with these target groups. Due to current developments in Brandeburg for HochVier and their training staff it is essential to qualify current educational activities which have been designed to enhance refugees and educationally disadvantaged migrants, to qualify and empower refugees and migrants and foster their social and labor integration as well as to sensitize citizens of Brandenburg. This will be achieved through corresponding trainings with experienced partners. It is essential to acquire additional skills and innovative, attractive and suitable learning methods for working with the mentioned target groups in order to establish successful and sustainable educational activities as well as for the conception of new educational projects. Based on these necessities of trainers and targe group the project was designed by HochVier in cooperation with its educational staff. The project´s intention is to provide cross-border training opportunities for adult education trainers working with the relevant target groups and the relevant subjects.The project activities have been selected by relevance and innovation and include 3 mobility activities: Activity 1: "Artistic teaching methods within courses of basic education for refugees and migrants" with "uniT" in Graz. Within this workshop the KUNSTLABOR Graz provides integrative and creative methods of successful educational work with refugees and migrants in the fields of basic education and literacy. The workshop program trains adult educators working in the field of basiceducation as well as langauge and integration trainings regarding creative and artistic methods and approaches to be used within extracurricular educational work with various target groups. It promotes he ability to address and focus on the individual needs of learners. Particulary special creative techniques are taught which are suitable to promote social skills, language skills and the ability for personal orientation within society and the labor market of different target groups.Activity 2: "Overcoming Islamophobia" with "Sinergias, Ideas y Proyectos" in Valencia. The workshop is designed to counteract Islamophobic tendencies in the longer term by teaching the trainers constructive pedagogical mechanisms to combat anti-muslim racism. The participants get to know methods to raise awareness for Muslims, their culture and Islam as a religion.Activity 3: "Game-based learning of language & culture" IDEC S.A. in PiraeusThis workshop aims to teach language and integration trainers playful and game-based methods to integrate these into their language and itegration courses. These can help to reduce and overcome language and cultural barriers between trainers and learners in order to design more attractive, low-threshold and informal learning spaces.The trainings are not just focusing on the presentation of new appropriate methods, unconventional training activities and innovative approaches. It also emphasizes the cross-cultural experience, the exchange of information about the structures of extracurricular adult education, about current developments and trends regading refugee policy, xenophobic and racist tendencies and integration projects among colleagues and the encounter with students from the partner organizations. The clear objective is to apply the new skills and information within the current educational work realized on local and regional scope with the relevant target groups and to further assure a sustainable implementation of the training contents in the regular work of HochVier. The diversity and experience of the HochVier training staff and the partner organizations represent ideal conditions for the successful realization of this project. The Long-term objectives are the promotion of tolerance, reduction of fears, promotion of acceptance of diversity as well as qualification of migrants and refugees and the promotion of their social and professional integration.
