The project aims at strengthening cross-border co-operation in the field of cancer research. Some specific objectives are the development of common new research infrastructure platform, cross-border research project on new approaches to cancer, cross-border educational project for advanced training on new in vitro and in vivo imaging techniques. The cross-border impact of the project is developing of a pole of excellence in research specialized in personalized therapies of cancer which could improve the health and quality of life in cross-border area. The general objective of the project is strengthening cross-border co-operation in the field of cancer research Target groups: project research team (33), teachers and researchers (450), students and young researchers (10+2500+124). The main specific activities of the project are: communication and management activities, research platform development, research activities in the field of personalized therapies of cancer, summer school for students and young scientists Main results: 1 new research infrastructure platform; innovative research tools, new research methods and improved protocols in microscopy, genetics and molecular field for testing of cancer drugs specificity, 1 guide of recommendations for oncologists; summer school in the field of imaging techniques; web portal with research databases.
