Institutionalising EU-Korea Cooperation
Start date: Nov 1, 2010,
This Project implements exchange and joint academic programmes that will both enrich scholarly activity at consortium institutions and contribute to strengthening EU-Korea relations. Emphasis is on forging a close relationship with research institutions and major businesses through the establishment of internship programmes, special lectures by high-level invited guests, and on-site visitation at programme-related workplaces. It will provide students and faculty/staff with opportunities to develop the expertise and experience needed for the growth of the proposed strategic partnership between the EU and the Republic of Korea. Project duration is three years and participating institutions from both sides will send a maximum of 80 students (40 from Korea and 40 from the EU) for one semester (4-6 months). It will also dispatch 40 faculty & staff (16 from Korea and 24 from the EU) to their partner institutions for seminars, lectures, joint curriculum development, and other possible collaborative work.
