The project "Innovative European experience, methods and technologies" involves VET learners´ traineeships in vocational institutes abroad (Activity 1) and Staff training abroad (Activity 2).Activity 1 is built on the previous cooperation between The South Moravian Region and partner regions and is implementing a 2-week traineeships of 20 students at the partner VET school - Strukovna škola Vice Vlatković in 2 runs in April 2017 and 2018. The aim of learners´ traineeships is to provide students the opportunity to gain professional experience, improve practical skills in their field of studies, particularly in solar systems, programming microprocessors, and improve their linguistic competences in English, gain basic communication skills in Croatian, gain organizational, social and personal skills. The project also gives students the opportunity to improve the quality of their key competencies to ensure their professional growth and their competitiveness in the labour market, which will lead to their successful employment after graduation, a fruitful career and improvement of education quality at our school.Minor and major 3rd year Mechanic electronics students (specialization – mechatronics) will be participating in Activity 1. We also want to involve students with learning disabilities to the project to motivate and help them in self-realization. Participants will spend 7 hours per work day at the partner school fulfilling the unit of learning outcomes which will be assessed according to specified criteria and recorded in Personal Transcripts. For gaining social and intercultural skills we are planning to organize excursions in companies in Zadar County and to visit interesting places in surroundings. The project will use the ECVET principles for improving the quality of mobility and training, which primarily means the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding. It will establish roles of both organizations in the project. The certification of Activity 1 will be provided by means of Learning Agreement, Personal Transcript, Europass of Mobility and Certificate of completing the traineeship for each student. We see the biggest impact of the project in relation to the participants and their professional and personal growth, gaining professional experience, particularly with solar systems and programming microprocessors, gaining social and personal skills. The project will have an impact on other students; they will gain higher motivation and interest in studies. The level of VET education at our school will be improved by implementation of the results of the project in teaching, which will increase the competitiveness of our graduates. There will certainly be some impacts on partner organizations which will gain experience in managing mobilities, preparing students for the traineeships. In addition the project will lead to improving communication between partners and strengthening their cooperation and friendship. To ensure Activity 2 SŠTE will be cooperating with the intermediary organization Language Solution, which will provide the visits of VET organizations in Hampshire, shadowing of technical and Science subjects, shadowing methods of administration and management of the organizations, exchanging experience with teachers, passing down the examples of good practice, procedures and know-how. 10 teachers of technical and science subjects and leading teachers and deputy heads of SŠTE will be taking part in 2-week mobilities of Activity 2 in Portsmouth, Hampshire UK in 2 runs in October 2016 and 2017. An integral part of the mobility will be learning about the culture and life in Britain. The improvement of teaching skills, teachers´ professional skills and knowledge, teachers´ language skills, capturing new methods in education, expanding cooperation and partnerships between educational institutions in the field of vocational training are main objectives of Activities 2. The outcomes and impacts of the Activity are connected with the objectives when improving teachers´ professional knowledge, skills and experience will lead to using acquired knowledge and new methods in teaching, improving the quality of teaching, transferring the acquired knowledge to students, and thereby increasing the competitiveness of our school graduates and their better employment after school. We expect another impact of Activity 2 in increasing the quality of services provided by SŠTE, improving the school climate and strengthening the staff, which will be ensured with gaining knowledge and tips for effective school management, becoming familiar with quality management systems used for school management, becoming familiar with the documents used in VET organizations in the UK.Impacts regarding Language Solution are mainly in getting experience in providing shadowing and other activities. The project will also strengthen the cooperation and friendship among organizations and develop international relations and communication.
