Inklusives Lernen - das Verstehen der besonderen Bedürfnisse von Lernern, die individualisierte Förderung im (Englisch)Unterricht und das Entwickeln von Unterrichtsaktivitäten, die das inklusive Lernen fördern
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Inclusive learning is of growing importance in everyday school life and is often challenging for our staff. It is an aim of the project to enable our participant to cope better with such challenges. Part of this is to recognize and understand special educational needs of students with e.g. dyslexia, autism, dyspraxia, ADS and ADHS and to individually support their learning. The participant works as a teacher of English at our school and also as a teacher trainer for future teachers of English at primary school level. She has great interest in her professional development and also in passing on this knowledge. In a two-week-course at Pilgrims the participant is going to learn more about specific learning difficulties through examples and activities, she is going to explore methods that promote inclusive learning. Adaptations to the teaching style and a greater variety of methods and materials shall embrace and accomodate diversity and lead to succesful learning of everyone. The expected results are going to effectively influence the participant's teaching. The acquired knowledge and gained experience are going to be shared among the teaching and educational staff in the English department and teaching in general. Furthermore, language teachers in the district, teacher trainer colleagues and our participant's trainees are going to profit.
