PROJECT
FINISHED
The project topic "Inclusion - a human right" is dealt with by teachers and students from six European schools. On the one hand, participating students will work in an interdisciplinary way on legal, ethnic, structural and social requirements of inclusion. Thus students will be enabled to recognise that no individual must be ostracised or marginalised in society and to learn that all individuals are endowed with a life-long right to take full part in social life on the basis of self-determination and equal opportunities. On a more practical note, on the other hand, participating students, teachers and stakeholders will elaborate various ways of putting inclusion into practice, namely in the fields of schools, sports, kindergarten and local communities.
Exchanging and sharing information among partner schools requires a sufficient command of ICT skills in order to facilitate planning, implementing, documenting and presenting work on the topic. Furthermore, team work and willingness to communicate as well as openness play a major part in the project, both on a national and international level.
In this context, working parties will be established with the task of coordinating internal procedures as well as communication processes interpersonally and internationally with the participating teachers functioning as advisers. In that connection, TwinSpace will be used as a joint platform for all partners to share information and findings relevant to the project in the major working languages of the project: German, French, Italian and English.
By working with all stakeholders from the partner schools, the students will increase their foreign language skills and will gain knowledge of international teaching methods and studying techniques.
In the framework and course of this project, students will be in close contact with local and national administration and authorities and will research and examine different approaches to inclusion. The students will be in charge of documenting the project and they will also present their preliminary findings as well as final results to fellow students, teachers and parents and local/regional bodies. The results of the project will also be made available on a specially designed website, on eTwinning and partly on Youtube, which will certainly catch the attention of people who take an external interest in the project.
