INFORMAL LEARNING AS A MOTOR FOR SUCCESS IN BUSINESS

The YEBISU partnership is focussing on a network of members of the European Landscape Contractors Association named ELCA, companies in the gardening and landscaping branch (http://www.elca.info/en/) , and VET schools with EQF experience. We will implement informal learning processes in the team development plans of the companies. We will focus on outcome-based learning processes which are the basis for EQF and ECVET. By doing so we make the companies more successful. We aim to give them a handle for their Life Long Learning/informal learning programmes. We use to that aim the TOI project EQUFAS, European Qualification Framework in the Agricultural Sector (www.equfas.com), call 2007 and the ECVET methodology used in the project INTENT (INTernational ENTtrepreneurship (http://www.ondernemenoverdegrens.nl/indexuk.htm). To reach our goal we will use the individual learning outcomes in the development of our teams, disseminate the outcomes to partner companies and learn from each other. The partnership will use the four tools of EQUFAS and the portfolio methodology of INTENT. The members of the partnership will develop in depth these outcomes in a practical and meaningful way. All companies in this partnership are member of the ELCA international network and have a broad experience in learning activities. The ELCA partners are interested in the implementation of the EQUFAS tools. These tools enable companies to determine at which level an employee is functioning according to the levels of EQF. The outcomes of the informal learning process will be validated and made measurable. We will focus on level 3 and 4 of the EQF and we will use for that a part of the outcomes of INTENT, an earlier EQF/ECVET project concerning international Entrepreneurship.
