We are going to do the project “Pursuit of european qualification in specialists of informational technology and visual communications”. Objectives of this project are: to open new possibilities for the participants in order to make them realize, that they are an integral part of European labour market; to improve professional competencies (skills, knowledge, attitudes/behaviors) of the participants; to encourage the participants to widen their professional attitudes and worldviews; to provide the participants with the most innovative working tools; to introduce to the participants the latest technologies; to acquaint the participants with the general and specific characteristics of European labour market; to share intercultural experiences on the professional level; to compare different background preparation of the participants; to create a systematic approach towards learning/teaching on European level.
Target group of the project are 12 IT and visual communication students of vocational educational training center (the first and the second year).
Preparatory activities of the project are to provide the participants with intercultural knowledge – 2 hours; to provide the participants with linguistic knowledge (to check spoken and written language skills) – 8 hours; to organize risk – prevention lecture – 1 hour; to organize task – related lecture – 1 hour.
Practical arrangements of the project (practical and logistic matters) are: to organize travel and accommodation; to ensure, that all the participants have insurance; to ensure social security, safety and protection of the participants; 2 weeks before the project launches to instruct the participants on all the relevant topics.
Project management tasks are to coordinate working activities; to organize leisure activities; to prepare all the necessary documentation; to ensure proper cooperation and communication with project partners; to provide partners with all the information needed; to coordinate the entire process of the project; to monitor working program and process. Person in response is Svajune Unguryte (Svajūnė Ungurytė). The responsibilities for the general, specific and overoll quality of the project will be shared between the project manager, accompanying person and the working group.
The expected impact of the project is that the participants expand their knowledge of the subject; the participants get and share new competences; the participants become more motivated and ambitious to seek their professional goals; the participants become the active members of European labour market; the intercultural communication is ensured; the sense of community is fostered.
