Increased Mainstreaming of Games In Learning Policies
There is now a large amount of evidence available to suggest that the use of Games-Based Learning (GBL) can make a positive impact on learning outcomes at all levels ofeducation. However, adoption of GBL by policy makers as a mainstream learningremains limited. IMAGINE (Increased MAinstreaming of Games IN Learning PoliciEs)will bring together and valorise results from projects and initiatives to date beforelaunching a powerful effort to persuade policy makers in school-based, adult andvocational education to include pilot, multiplier and mainstream GBL in their strategiesfor implementation. Major activities of IMAGINE will include the provision of goodpractice case studies, a Directory of existing GBL products and services. The dissemination and exploitation process employed by the project will involve a ‘onestop-shop’ transversal website for GBL, a series of sectoral round-table workshops forpolicy makers, industry and other stakeholder, translated policy recommendations and afinal conference.
