Youth exchange: "In their shoes: Understanding disability"Our project, which will take place in the city of Malaga from 15th to 22nd October 2016, is focused in increasing participants awareness regarding to persons with disabilities and the barriers that they face. Our aim is to show them how to undertake direct actions in order to achieve inclusion of people with disabilities in the society and a greater accessibility in our countries. Therefore, the expected learning results are: - To raise awareness and sensitise European youth to difficulties that having a disability (physical, mental or sensorial) involves. It is important to realise that it (to a greater o lesser extent) affects all of us, regardless where we came from or whether we have some kind of disability or not. - To discuss the current situation of the persons with disabilities in each country, what does disability represent for each participant , what do the words "disability", "integration" and "inclusion" mean, get to know examples of actions taken to facilitate inclusion in each country and compare them.-To discover ways in which we can include persons with disabilities in several leisure activities in Malaga. -To look for solutions to improve the quality of these persons' conditions in the participant countries. - To create, all together, a document with ideas and good practices with regard to inclusion and accessibility.- To give the participants the opportunity to benefit from an intercultural environment and to bring them together to create bonds with people from other European countries.- To share a space where they can reflect on subjects connected with the field of disabilityFor this activity, 4 participants (2 males and 2 females preferably) from 18 to 30 years old and a leader from each country will be selected.
