Three VET High Schools are participating in the project: one from Madrid Region (Spain), and two from Denmark (located in Svendborg and Rodovre - Copenhagen). The three schools are developing Wood and Furniture learning and are interested in different professional aspects of this field. There are also three Danish companies involved in it.The planned activities are:A1: mobility for students learning in a VET School attending lessons in a VET School in Denmark.Nº of participants: 1 student during 30 days in a Vocational Training Danish schoolParticipant profile: VET student in social exclusion riskA2: Mobility for students to learn in a Danish company (Training by working)Nº of participants: 2 students during 90 daysParticipant profile: Students of the second year of Installation and Furnishing courseA3: Mobility for students to learn in a Danish company (Training by working)Nº of participants: 1 student during 30 daysParticipant profile: Students of the second year of Installation and Furnishing courseA4: Mobility for teaching staff Nº of participants: 1 teacher during 7 daysParticipant profile: Teacher of Wood and Furniture from Madrid Region (Spain)During the last 6 years, we have developed different projects in the frame of the European Long Learning Program, supported by the EU (Leonardo da Vinci Program). 9 participants have been working in Danish companies. It was a satisfactory experience for everyone: participants, intermediary partners, receiving partners, and ourselves. In addition, due to this first contact, we signed several agreements for the development of professional training for students in Danish companies, leading companies, who were really interested in our students. The methodology we will use comes from the experience in similar projects. Thanks to the VET School in Denmark, the intermediary partner, the communication with the companies was fluent, as well as the definition of the learning programs. The project coordinator in Spain is taking care of the administrative management and the application for authorizations, as well as to get the flights, organize the trips, accommodation and insurances. With the development of this project, we want to improve the quality of the training of our students, not just regarding content and professional skills, but also improving their training as adults, increasing their maturity, autonomy and ability to look for their path in the labour market. The project Erasmus+ is included in our programs from the First Course as an option for the students who take enough responsibility during the course. The existence of this chance makes it possible that our students get more and more interested in Denmark: their work ways, products, techniques, machinery, language, habits...The students who show more interest are clearly motivated from the very beginning, and this is a decisive factor for them to get a place in the program.
