"In the Light ... " is the logical continuation of intercultural and intergenerational actions that take place in Nalliers for several years around the cultural openness and the discovery of the other , and around sustainable development and heritage preservation. This year our efforts will highlight the local memory , the neighborhood memory of each youth through art and art craft and cooking , to give them the key to consider their European future, their future Community in preserving the environment. So during 11 days, are 20 youngs (6 young Algerians, 6 young Romanian and 8 young French incliding 2 French-Swiss) aged 15 to 19 years, housed in a tent in a small rural town in the south Vendee, which through three cooperative workshops will work together : the discovery of the stone work, the discovery of stained glass technics, the eco-friendly cooking workshop in which young people will be able to discover or rediscover how to make a balanced meal, how wasting as little as possible... These workshops are the pretext for intercultural exchange. The feature of "In the light" is that more intercultural exchanges, we adjoin intergenerational exchanges on one of the three cooperative workshops , through collaboration with the Association for the Protection of Nalliers's Mill and Nalliers's Heritage ( ASMN ) and its retired volunteers . Thus our method of work will consist of alternating between small group discussions through collaborative workshops, and activity time in a large group. In addition to the mentioned above cooperative workshops youth also participate in more recreational outings favoring informal exchanges, but also time official valuation of youth action, thematic evenings, some of which will be held with retired volunteers, time collective and cooperative games ...
