In-NovaMusEUm: Museums comes back to the locals through art and food.

What are the challenges of a museum located in a peripheral area? What strategy is the Director expected to implement in order to reach new audience? Art&food are two necessities of life and a strong vehicle of local identity: how can local community cooperate with the peripheral museum to reinforce the synergy between art&food? In-NovaMusEUm wants to answer.It involves 2 partner Museums (Skoklostersslott Castle and Theodoros Papagiannis Museum ) and 5 associated partner Museums: Palazzo Chigi di Ariccia (IT), Kilkis Museum (GR), National museum George kastrioti skanderbeg, Muzeu Arkeologjik Durres (AL), Museu Bordalo Pinheiro (PT). Stakeholder networks of museums in Italy, Sweden, Portugal, Albania and Greece are indirectly also involved. The creative and participative lab Tirana Ekspress and the CICANT R&D Unit of Lusofona University act as technical partners together with the associated Cultural Department of Patras University. The partnership is lead by Centro Europeo per il Turismo, lo Spettacolo e la Cultura (Italy). The main expected rersults are:1) Implementation of one shared strategy of audience development related to Art&Food, for EU peripheral museums.2) Implementation of five-audience development pilots on digital engagement.3) Development of one training course on digital engagement. 4) Involvement of local communities and emerging artists through local events, workshops and exhibitions related to Art&Food : target 150 people for partner countries. 5) Involvement of local communities trough Local - Museum participative Labs6) Museum Art works disseminated and enhanced trough digital engagement pilotThe project, lasting for 18 months, is structured in five work packages including: training and research activity on audience development strategy for peripheral museums; participative events with local community and local artists; digital engagement pilots; European networking activities; European Dissemination.
