Impulsando las capacidades para el plurilingüismo en el Colegio Salesiano de Burriana

The project "Promoting the competencies for plurilinguism in the Salesians School of Burriana" aims to increase the capability language education of the school. The project focuses on responding to the primary need of implementing CLIL methods and the use of ICT in language classes. Based on this, the long-term impact of the project will increase the number of subjects of non linguistic content teached in english, as well as the development of cooperative educational projects, the increase of language competences of the students and finally, the promotion of the european citizenship in all the educational community.The project is the first experience of the centre in the Erasmus + programme and involves the following members of the staff: (1) the director, who supports and follows the execution of the project; (2) the coordinator of plurilinguism and teacher of english and french, certified to teach in both pre-primary and primary education; (3) the teacher of english in secondary and high school who participates in the department of plurilinguism; (4) the teacher of phisical education in primary with potential to implement his subject in non-native language (english); (5) the administrative staff supporting the administrative follow-up of the project.The project includes preparatory, follow up and evaluation activities as well as three training stages in United Kingdom and dissemination activities. The three training courses are related with the use of innovative methods for language education based on creativity, the use of ICTs and the Content and Language Integrated Learnign (CLIL method).The results of the project will consist in the adquisition of knowledge as a result of the training received by the participants in the movilities that will be shared among their peers and other interested stakeholders. Additionally, it is expected that the project promotes the implementation of the plurilinguism in the centre, the movility of further teachers, the interest in life long learning activities, a better knowledge of programmes funding training and educational innovation and the quality of language education in the school in all the educational levels (pre-primary, primary, secondary and high school).
