Under the heading “Promoting learnings with ICTs in the European Outermost regions”, this project has been proposed by a public secondary school in Gran Canaria (Spain) , which is located in the city centre of the second largest town of the island taking into account the population. The teaching staff is 58 teachers and there are about 740 students, between 12 and 18 years old who study the compulsory secondary, baccalaureate and vocational training. The high school has English as first language and French as second language. The Project CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) has been started this school year 2015/16 with students in the first stage of compulsory secondary education in an attempt to extend it progressively to the fourth stage. The high school has experience in the execution of moodle courses by some teachers in their subjects as a complement to the blended learning. According to the identified needs, the project intends to improve profesional skills of teachers in the integration and effective management of the information and communication technologies (ICTs), the scanning of other innovative methodology lines based on the ICTs (flipped classroom) which contribute to support the students’ basic skills, especially as regards as autonomy and individual initiative. Lastly, this project also pursues to open its doors towards the sharing of good practices with other schools, the knowledge about other European educational systems and the establishment of direct contact with future projects e-twinning or Erasmus+ which ensure a continuity over time and with it, the duration of its effect. This proposal has arousen the interest of 7 participants among several Subjects Departments: three of them are Head of Departments; a teacher who belongs to the Guidance Department and a member of the school management team (Administration Manager). The activities planned to achieve the goals are teaching courses structured in France and Italy and job shadow programs in Finland, Portugal and Italy. Such activities may contribute and encourage the available ITCs tools in order to care students with special educational needs, to focus other methodology approaches based on the new technologies and to improve the language skills (English and French) and the autonomy and individual initiative skills of the students.Taking into account that the participants of this project belong to different Subject Departments such as Spanish Language and Mathematics, Modern Languages (English and French) and Guidance Deparment and also this project is further supported by the school management team, we consider that the lasting impact is guaranteed by the length of the mobility for teachers program (2 years).
