In a crisis conjuncture like the one we are experiencing, the qualification of human resources is the key to the development of any country, and such qualification is even more important when taking in consideration the demands created by the internationalization of economies and the markets´ globalization.
The traineeship will allow the participants to improve and acquire new skills, knowledge and qualifications, to get acquainted with new technologies and to broaden their horizons at a professional, personal and cultural level. It will also allow them a greater understanding of the diversity of the business culture; the enhancing of the quality of training received at schools and will cause openness to long life learning.
The mobility will take place in 2 school years and the 6 students who will be going to Cádis, in Spain, are the ones who are now attending the 3rd year of our vocational courses, more precisely Company Management Technician Course, the Food Processing and Quality Control Technician Course, the Electronics, Automation and Command Technician Course and the Industrial Maintenance Course. Six other students will be going to Madrid, also in Spain, and are now attending the 2nd year of the courses mentioned before. Finally, 6 students, who are now attending the 1st year of the same courses, will go to Rimini, in Italy.
We believe that the transnational mobility will provide students a greater enrichment of their professional and cultural qualifications while fostering understanding, team spirit, the capacity for initiative and tolerance. We also hope to enhance the quality and the access to vocational training in the European labor market and to enable trainees to increase and improve their skills so that they can understand more easily the different technological and organizational realities.
Reinforcing productivity, enhancing the growth and the internationalization of the economy, through more and better competitiveness, are also a consequence of the quality of young professionals that schools certificate to carry out strategies to fully seize the opportunities in the global economy. So, we believe that providing these training periods to our students, we are contributing to the development of our country and of Europe.
Bearing in mind the national scene, in what concerns the limited prospects of employment and a labor market which is increasingly more demanding, it is necessary to promote a greater flexibility and capacity to adjust to new realities and to the changing paradigms at work in our youngsters. So, this project will not only help to promote the employability of our graduates at a national level, but will also increase their competitiveness in the European labor market. With this project the students will be able to:
•consolidate the knowledge acquired during the lessons at school, qualifying them for the technological changes
•reduce the impact of the transition between school life and the world of work
•achieve an attitude of systematic work, develop awareness of productivity, observation and precise communication of ideas and experiences while encouraging and stimulating creativity and critical sense
•understand and improve new techniques and working methods on their jobs
•increase their knowledge in what concerns their technical and social skills and enhance their motivation for learning new technical and scientific concepts
•develop transversal skills aiming the effective integration in international markets
•acknowledge the existence of different social, cultural, linguistic and technological issues
•improve their skills in what concerns the learning of foreign languages
•develop awareness of European citizenship and mobility
With the presence of our technical subjects´ teachers in the locations chosen for the internships, this project also aims to facilitate the development of innovative practices in the field of vocational training and to make the teachers willingly improve the quality of education practices and training. It is also our aim to establish fruitful and long-term partnerships which help us to implement the ECVET system.
