The main objective of the operation is to protect the environment of cross-border area in order to strengthen and raise awareness of local population on the environment, but also to reduce the environmental risks of existing pollution. The aim of this project is further strengthening the awareness of young generations about the importance of the environment and the sorting and recycling of waste, which will be achieved through the implementation of workshops, seminars, public forums and through promotional materials. Expected Results: The result of the project is to have one constructed database of existing wild landfills in the project area, one criteria for selection of wild landfills for rehabilitation, rehabilitation of selected wild landfills thirty on Slovenian and thirty on Croatian side, five remediation pilot projects realized (2 on Croatian side and 3 on Slovenian side), implementation of 82 workshops in kindergartens and primary schools, one public tribune organized, one web site (internet platform).
