Adult education organisations and their staff are key actors to support the overcoming of the socio-economic crisis we are living in. Adult educators and other staff are in need of being uptodate and to be forerunners in providing citizens with future skills required by the competitive economy, the european/global labour market and the society at large.
Training 2000 plays a key role in it's territory together with other stakeholders in making innovative educational and training offers for the general public and specifically also for the local labour market.
The "Improving ICT, Project management, sustainability and language skills in adult education" project foresees the improvement and acquaintance of new competences on the following topics sustainability, project management, ICT and social media for teaching and learning and English language skills on behalf of adult educators part of Training 2000's team to be transferred to adult trainees and people interested in the topic through various activities (courses, workshops, meetings, online material, etc.). These topics are necessary to be able to keep up to date with the needs and requests of the European communities where we all live and with the demands of the labour market. The adult educators part of Training 2000's activities have identified these needs and would like to develop their competences by participating in organised training courses abroad in order to comply with what is being done in other countries and communities namely in the European Union. 10 adult educators, trainers and project staff will participate in training sessions of 1 week in different EU institutions and will gain knowledge and proficiency in the use of innovative tools and methodologies in the sectors listed above so to transfer them to the general public and to trainees in the Italian territory during the project and after.
The desired impacts of the project will be the increased competences of adult educators in particular people working with Training 2000 in the sectors of environmental sustainability, English language, Project management and ICT for trainers to be applied in classes. These foreseen competences will be spread to adults and trainees on the territory and especially to regional and national stakeholders (SMEs, public administration offices for education and training, schools, teachers, associations of enterprises and enterpreneurs) in order to allow them to be part of this innovative process of teaching and learning. All tools and methodologies acquired will be shared on an online platform in order to continue enriching what is available with personal experiences and new tools. All the above should bring to higher motivation of adults in participating in adult education initiatives and in improved competences of adult educators to perform their jobs in a professional way and to be more competitive on the European market.
