Improvement of the infrastructure related to the protection of natural values in Pusztaottlaka and Macea (NATVALUESPM)

The overall objective of this project is to improve conditions needed for common and sustainable development of the border region, preserve of natural assets. The project contributes to the overall goal by the accomplishing the following specific goals: establishing Romanian-Hungarian cooperation in the field of presenting natural values and raising natural environment, development of presentation infrastructure of natural values, elaboration of programs promoting environmental education. The project consists the following activities: presentation facilities of native wild and domestic animals in Pusztaottlaka, development of botanical garden of Macea, one-day trips 18 times during the project: opportunities for the pre-school and primary school age groups, teacher training will be held once during the project for Hungarian and Romanian teachers, organizing 2 youth camps promoting environmental education, creating websites and editing publications. The members of the direct target group are those who directly meet the project's activities; the settlements (6 536 persons), small regions (80 000 persons) and the entire population of counties (828 000 people) can be considered the indirect targets of the project. Expected Results: Among the project results: 1 information centre established, 1 open school air established, 1 advanced botanical garden created, 21 events related to nature familiarization organised, 2 websites developed.
