The aim of the project is to increase the number of tourists in South-East Finland by making the marketing aimed at Russian tourists more effective and by improving the infrastructure of tourism and quality factors. The project is based on the Tacis project Development of sustainable tourism in Rantasalmi and Pihkovât that was ongoing in the spring of 2003. The project entity develops an environmental management and quality system for the tourism enterprises of the pilot areas, improves language preparedness of the tourism enterprises, increases cultural familiarity and makes the Russia-marketing of South-East Finland more effective.
