Improved Obstetrical and Gynecological Interregional Services (IOGIS)

The aim of the project is to improve inter-regional obstetrics and gynaecological care. The first objective of the project is to rehabilitate and to extend the main building of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DOG) of the Satu Mare Country Emergency Hospital. The second objective of the project is to purchase the missing equipments and replacing old, outdated ones for both partners. In addition, 4 one-day "professional days" are also part of the project, aiming to enable knowledge transfer between the two institutions.The main activities of the project are: building reconstruction works and equipment purchasing.The target group is formed by the specialists of the clinics taking part in the project (25 persons from Debrecen Medical University - Health Science Centre and 12 persons from the Satu Mare Country Emergency Hospital) and by the population of the region (1,502,409 persons from Hungary and 366,270 from Romania). Expected Results: Project results: 9 medical equipment purchased in Satu Mare, 22 medical equipment purchased in Debrecen, 3 obstetrical services improved, 8 gynaecological services improved.
