The training course “ImProve - EmPower ” will take place in Olsztynek, in Poland from 10-16th of November 2014. This project is for 27 youth workers, volunteers and youth leaders from 9 countries: Portugal, Romania, Greece, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Croatia, Latvia and Poland. The main objectives of the training course are:
- to provide youth workers with tools to guide volunteers in personal and socio-professional development
- to make youth workers aware of the importance of focusing more on developing their human resources.
- to provide youth workers the opportunity to safely test and understand the EquiliTRI toolset in order to be able to apply them in their own organisations
- to provide youth workers with soft skills training on personal and professional development
- to raise awareness on the importance of communication between youth workers and NGOs regarding personal and professional development
- to develop new partnerships and projects under Erasmus + Programme
During 7 days long training course participants will be trainerd on use of the innovative, new, non-formal education method for professional and personal development named “Equilitri Method™. This project’s goal is to develop the capacity of the promoting organisations to motivate and improve their volunteers through Personal and Professional Development. The project will help the promoters by providing their youth workers with advanced HR tools for professional and personal development and key competencies in four major areas: time management skills, leadership and followship skills, planning and organizing, organisational communication skills.
The methods applied during the training will be based on non formal approach: debates, simulation games, role play, small group work, working in pairs, finding parallel between theory and practice, presentations, associations. All activities and working methods will be learner – centered, according to participants needs. There will be new partnerships established in order to create new projects within Erasmus + Programme.
As the main results of the project participants become creative multipliers of new acquired skills and become promoters of the Equilitri method in their local communities. The project has at direct multiplying effect. The participants are youth workers which will experience new working methods on communication,fellowship, leadership, planning and time managament and will provide it to the members in their organisations, to share the new HR tools. The youth workers in this training course will interact with a large number of young people and youth workers in their home NGO. After coming back home organisations and participants will transfer the know – how to their fellows, generating the know – what. In the long term perspective the organisations will increase human resources capacities in professional and personal development and wil be prepared to work with volunteers in professional manner.
