5 secondary education schools will take part in this Consortium. The 5 are involved in the bilingual section programme in Portuguese or either teaches Portuguese as a secondary foreign language. The teachers from the 5 schools involved will sum 15. They are teachers specialized in Portuguese or either non-specialists who have a level B2 of the European Language Framework in Portuguese and who are teaching through CLIL.
The activity itinerary programme for this project is clearly phased:
Phase 1: where the weaknesses of the teachers regarding their communicative and linguistic competences in Portuguese will be analysed. The teacher who will deliver the future course, through the “Escuela Oficial de Idiomas” B2 certification exams considering the 4 communicative competences, will detect each teachers’ level in each of the 4 competence, will report, give feedback and will in accordance programme the following phase.
Phase 2: the online IMPORTA Portuguese course will take place through the Galician Education Department in-service platform PLATEGA. The course will focus on the four communicative competences: reading, oral comprehension, writing and speaking. The course will be open to the teachers from these four schools as well as others.
Phase 3: After the phase 2 course, the teacher mobility will take place between 26th June- July 2016 through the Camoes Institute (Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua) in Lisbon and once the school year finishes in the four Galician schools.
Phase 4: On the teachers taking the course, they must write out integrated lesson plans in Portuguese (UDIs). These UDIs will focus on competence-based project work that will be core in teaching in the different subjects which is promoted in the LOMCE education Spanish law and its application in secondary education.
hese lesson plans will reflect the acquired knowledge in the mobility course, mostly focusing on those methodological resources highlighted in the course with the Camoes Institute.
Through the teacher inservice itineraries, the teachers involved in the mobility will take a centre role as expert trainers with the other teacher staff in their schools and in others through the Galician Education Department (Consellería de Cultura, Educación e Ordenación Universitaria) in-service programmes for teachers.
For the schools it will mean to improve and advance towards the implementation and secure the bilingual section programme in Portuguese, needed by the teachers of non-lingustic subjects of the curricula. Teachers who teach Portuguese as a second foreign language will also master their communicative competence in Portuguese and their know-how on methodological aspects to help in the latter.
The dissemination for the project will be achieved through the Galician Department of Education (Consellería de Cultura, Educación e Ordenación Universitaria) web portal: news, activities, in-service sessions; through the repository for education digital resources
–Espacio Abalar- de la Consellería de Cultura, Educación e Ordenación Universitaria: materials, resources and integrated lesson plans; through the 5 school webpages and through the teacher Inservice local centres webpages (of the Consellería de Cultura, Educación e Ordenación Universitaria): experiences, activities, information and training sessions, mobilities, materials, resources and integrated lesson plans; • through the Galician training Plan in schools centralized through the Centro Autonómico de Formación e Innovación educativa (CAFI) and the local teacher inservice centres, Centros de Formación y Recursos (CFRs): informative sessions to share the Project with interested othe schools will be held and teachers from the 5 schools will take part in the Galician 3rd Conference on Languages.
The mobility of these teachers will enable to build on new contacts for colaboration with other institutions outside Galicia. The contacts among the schools involved in the consortia will allow and enrich their collaboration, not only to improve their teaching practise but also in their building new inter-school projects on various subjects.
