Start date: Oct 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Communication is one of the most important skills we have. There wouldn’t even be a we without it. The exploitation of the global operating Internet opened up a complete new sphere for communicating in culture, daily life and science. The challenge for this project is to reach out for new ways of exploring these spheres by combining the usual codes for communication with a new visual and sensual approach.IMAGIT aims to offer an innovative and interactive online-platform that enables universal creative expression across any possible distances. We will bring digital-natives and well-experienced agents from the fields of art, design, communication, media-theory and digital media-technology together, in order to realize a mobility-led and creative process of researching and forming a unique and not existent visual communication tool, that is expressed in artistic and symbolic terms. The way of this emergence will be surrounded by educational and public events on- and off-line, to deliver a sustainable tool in the awareness of existing and moving cultural values. The project will support intense interdisciplinary interactions among artists, designers, communication and media-theory specialists, scholars, technologists and the citizens with the goal to find and stretch out new models of symbolic as well as cross-border interactions in contemporary global communication. In order to guarantee the most dynamic exchange, special focus will be on the interaction between young and experienced people as well as between scientific and artistic research and processing. The idea of IMAGIT features top-level lead-outs not only by contributing to a vision of a cross-border European community with an unique approach but also by opening up to experimental objectives that will be consolidated by the participation of various actors within the process.
