Our Task with the project is to help the socio-educational and personal development of young people with Down Syndrome Society, association Wings of light in partnership with the Union of Turkey,Greece,Macedonia we applie with a project "We are here and we can." The main project activities will be an international training course aimed at increasing the capacity and improving the quality of work of youth workers who are engaged in informal education of young people with Down syndrome. It will include their professional training and development of their cooperation for innovation and exchange of experience, skills and good practices.The training will be held from 23.07.2016 - 02.08.2016 in Smolyan, Bulgaria. It will involve 34 youth workers and experts from Bulgaria,Turkey,Greece Macedonia active in support of social integration and employment for young people with Down syndrome.Training will be conducted by the International Coaching team. The activities will be entirely based on methods of informal learning and will include presentations, workshops, group discussions, site visits, group games and more. Through them, participants will learn about the nature and applicability of current modern methods of informal learning and systems for working with young people with Down syndrome. During the training they will exchange ideas and experiences and acquire practical skills to promote successful inclusion of young people with disabilities in the educational system and the labor market. Youth workers will develop their cooperation for innovation and good practice in working with young people with disabilities and to improve the quality of their services.An important part of the training will be presenting the opportunities offered by the program "Erasmus +" of organizations working with disadvantaged youth and planning ideas for further interaction and cooperation between partners.The propose of the project will be to improve the professional competencies of the youth workers and will increase the capacity of partner organizations for international cooperation. The project will intensify exchanges and cooperation between them for the development and implementation of new tools and approaches to working with young people with Down syndrome. And last but not least, the results of the training will be immediately put into practice through daily activities of participants and young people with Down syndrome at the local level. At the same time they will be distributed nationally and internationally, thanks to the membership of partner organizations in different European youth and professional associations.
