Il mio futuro è l'Europa
Start date: Nov 1, 2014, End date: Oct 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

BACKGROUND A shared mission and aim within the Consortium is the internationalisation of the educational offer of the VET schools, partners in the project, as a mainstreaming effect of what other partners have done so far in the territory with respect to European mobility for vocational training and learning. The project is also meant to make young vet learners experience mobility as young European citizens, fostering in them a feeling of appeal, attractiveness and belonging to Europe. The project title itself stands for this mission: The synergy between Younger generations and Europe goes through this doubleoffer of chances on one hand and empathy and belonging on the other one. OBJECTIVES  To foster and strengthen European dimension in VET education.  To think of young learners as resources for their territory in view of the educational, vocational and professional investment they can make by experiencing Europe and the European Labour market as a unique chance for personal growth and development.  To facilitate change and innovation, aligning vocational profile to the key economic sectors of a territory and its demand for new key skills which can be acquired or enhanced through European mobility for training.  Hence, to support future employability of vet learners and facilitating the transition fron vet learning to the labour market TARGET GROUP 95 Vet learners ( aged 17-19 ) 50%: students in the fourth year of Vet Education , 15%: students in their last year of VET Education, 35%: nee graduates from VET Education leaving within one year’s end from their VET studies. PROGRAMME OUTLINE Vet training programmes of 4-6-8 weeks depending on the age and level of VET studies of the beneficiaries. Sectors of VET training in companies:  Marketing – foreign trade with a focus on businesses internationalisation  Tourism, with afocus on cultural promotion and customer care and assitance  Finance and administration with a focus on logistic and shipping  Agronomy and food industry for the strong link with the agro-food industry of the territory and its latest growth and expansion. Countries: FR, ES, DE, MT, UK. Preparatory activities  Module: Let’s meet Europe: to inform and build up awarenss on the European policies for Youth, Education and Labour with a focus on the chances offered to young learners and workers by the new European Programmes.  Counselling: a module devised to help VET learners and VET new graduates to get awareness on their resources, attitudes and skills and learn how to put them in relation to their choices and plans for future studies of research of a job after their diploma. A great emphasis will be given to those skills which lead to entrepreneurship as a key factor in smoothing the way to coherent choices in studies and in job applications.  Language and Vet module in the Host organisation METHODOLOGY Integrated approach of counselling and non formal learning in the form of training mobility and education to Europe, which meets at one time educational, vocational, information and civic needs in a coherent framework of the guidelines set in the Strategies for Europe 2020, in terms of key skills and a new approach in counselling which focuses on “education to employability”. The approach in the counselling given to beneficiaries will prove to be suitable to transfer a methodology the students can rely on beyond the mobility life-cycle and after their studies, which help them to make choices in studies and plan their job applications with a better awareness of their resources, of how to link them to attitudes on one hand and to what the Labour market is looking for so as to be and feel more employable. EXPECTED OUTCOMES  For sending schools: a great chance and a pathway to international experiences, bringing competitiveness in their educational and vocational offer, casting the bridge to an easier access to the labour market for their learners.  For the beneficiaries: The learning outcomes are meant in terms of development of key skills (soft skills and enterpreneurship, language skills and technical skills aligned to the needs of the economic sectors of the territory). They grow up as European citizens and their European awareness and belonging They benefit from measures of education to employability, which support more effectively their future choices and also contribute to their self awareness and self-confidence, as long as they learn to think of them self as a resource LONGER TERM BENEFITS  The methodology above described will support the beneficiaries mid term, beyond the lifecyle of their mobility.  The mobility methodology and the mobility tools shared through the Coordinator’s know-how will support the quality management of mobility itself, while the expected results on schools and beneficiaries hopefully will have a mainstreaming effect, attracting new schools for future projects, strengthening and developing the Consortium.
