If we don't change, the climate will continue to change
“If WE don’t change, the climate will continue to change”. This is the title for the project we started in September 2009. We were a nice group of six schools from Cyprus, the U.K., Germany, Hungary, Lithuania and France, with children from 6 to 15 years. We had two main objectives. Firstly, we intended to promote cooperation and understanding of staff and pupils within our schools as we are all part of the European family. Secondly, we treid to help students be more environmentally alert, with the realisation that our planet is in danger and that all actions made have a worldwide effect. During the two years of the project our schools were very busy. The pupils and teachers working on the project were involved in many activities. Children and stuff got to know the other countries and together they recognised and understood all aspects of the Global Warming Effect.During this project we aimed to produce:Booklets of children presenting themselves, Shows at all schools with a European dimension, Calendar of year 2010, mascot, posters/cartoons concerning G.W.E., assignments concerning G.W.E.(problems and solutions), common Comenius Day, booklets with all project’s activities: meetings and products and finally the production of a common story.
