PROJECT
FINISHED
The project tackles a real problem, relevant on both sides of the border, i.e. the low level of utilization of already existing industrial park facilities and shortage of investments in them. It was implemented by four partners, two from Hungary, two from Romania, all having an important role in the economic development. The project partners were committed to develop the cross border economic and business partnership, in order to increase the FDI in the area. The activities of the project have been organised on both side of the border: the benchmarking clubs in Biharkeresztes and in Bors, two international expositions, held in both countries, and an investment conference in Oradea. The target groups of the project are located on the two sides of the border and consisted of industrial parks and investment incentive organisations. More than 100 manager and experts took part in the activities from Romania and Hungary, mainly from the Bihar-Bihor Euroregion, but other counties have been involved as well. In a wider sense the population of the whole cross-border region was also the beneficiary of the project due to new workplaces and lower unemployment. The project was a good opportunity for the participants to acquire new knowledge and best practices. In the frame of the project, a common database was prepared which presents the economic potential of the area for the foreign investors and it appears as an integrated region.
