Human Rights Education for European Youth
Start date: Aug 1, 2013,
In cooperation with 5 partners from Georgia, Ukraine, Germany, Turkey, and Bulgaria, the organisation “Bridge to the Future” will implement as the hosting organisation the 9-days youth exchange “Human Rights Education for European Youth” for 30 young people in Ganja, Azerbaijan, from the 1st until the 11th of November 2013.As diverse as the human rights status of European countries is, as different are the forms that human right violation takes in our continent. But all human rights violations have one thing in common: they limit the personal freedom and the chances of young people to develop their potentials in all concerns of their life. The aim of this youth exchange is to provide young people with an insight into the human right situation in Europe and to sensitize them for injustice and inequality in modern Europe. By means of non-formal creative and interactive educational means the participants shall be empowered to critically reflect on human rights violations and the consequences for their own life. Thus, the aim is to encourage youth to take actively part in human right protection in Europe. Hence, the participants will work on their own competencies developing self-esteem, confidence and a sense for initiative and entrepreneurship.
