The project of Erasmus+ Programme at the Katowice School of Economics (Górnośląska Wyższa Szkoła Handlowa im. Wojciecha Korfantego w Katowicach) is one of the key elements of the internationalization strategy. The aim of the project is the realization of students' and empoyees' mobilities in order to gain international experience and implement better solutions to the functioning of GWSH by observing good practices in Partner Institutions. During the academic year 2015/16 mobilities were completed by 25 participants. A similar number of participants had the opportunity to complete their mobility at GWSH. Our Institution carried out student mobility for studies, student mobility or traineeships, staff mobility for teaching, staff mobility for training for out-going participants as well as in-coming participants. The project had a positive effect on the participants, providing them with the opportunity to gain international experience, to meet scientific and practical objectives, as well as strategic objectives of the Institution. Thanks to student and staff mobility GWSH had an opportunity to sign new bilateral agreements with international Universities and companies. Students had a chance to learn about the functioning of education system in the receiveing institution, improve their language skills, as well as exchange experiences and opinions with foreign students. Academic and Administrative Staff mobilities presented GWSH with an opportunity to organize international conferences and seminars, participate in joint research programmes especially in the area of Management, Tourism, Psychology and Law. By implementing in-coming mobilites of staff and students, our Institution received a chance to develop courses conducted in English language which makes our education offer more diversified. Thanks to the participation in the Programme, Katowice School of Economics meets the requirements of Erasmus Policy declaration, the Erasmus+ Programme, and other universities, which GWSH hopes to establish or expand cooperation with. In conclusion, GWSH is successful at adapting to European standards in terms of academic area.
