CONTEXT/BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES
York St John University (YSJ) is an outstanding city campus university, located within two hours of London and Manchester, in the historic city of York, England. YSJ is an inclusive, innovative, transformative and ambitious community with a strong sense of belonging.
Over 6000 students, from 60 countries, currently study at YSJ across three faculties (Arts, Education and Theology, Health and Life Sciences) and a Business School. During academic year 2014/2015 we welcomed 194 study abroad and exchange students to YSJ, 42 of these were through the Erasmus+ programme (student studies). Our total number of international students in 14/15 was 371 which accounted for 5.8% of our student population. We have ambitious plans to increase this to 10% (730 students) by 2020. Our participation in the Erasmus+ Programme makes up a key part of our plans for internationalisation.
