The main objectives of the project are:

- Developing and enhancing the quality of cooperation with universities and partner organizations,
- Improving the employability of students,
- Strengthening the capacity and skills of university staff,

The Erasmus + project Mobility for Higher Education 2014-2016, has funded 71 students and 10 academic staff mobilities. Specifically, the project funded 60 students for studies and 11 students in internship mobility. Students were enrolled in short cycle (7%), 1st Cycle (49%) and 2nd cycle (44%). The staff mobility was mainly for teaching activities organized for one week at a partner university. The main destination countries were the United Kingdom, Spain, Ireland and Turkey. These results are in line with the UPVD policy of international cooperation and partnerships development. The UPVD has signed in 2014, 102 Erasmus+ agreements with 60 universities (including 18 with Spain, 9 with United Kingdom, 3 with Ireland and 2 with Turkey) and in 2015, with 12 new partners (including two Spanish and one English).
Regarding the profile of the project' participants, women represent 69% of the outgoing mobility, and 31% for men.
The administrative and financial management and coordination of the project' activities are carried out by the International Relations Office (SURI) at the central level, and in relation with the services for student life and the faculties of UPVD. The selection of participants was done by the Erasmus+ pedagogical coordinators, organized by Field of study. It is based on transparent procedure and criteria, respecting the Erasmus Charter.
Participants from incoming and outgoing mobility, received administrative, linguistic and educational support throughout their stay. The SURI organized each semester for incoming students a welcome session and the opportunity to participate to the "international mentoring" system, which allow to be welcomed and accompanied by a UPVD student, for a successful integration.
The project allowed UPVD to develop its internationalization and the professional skills of staff and students, to led them to better integrate and improve their employability in the European and world market. After the end of the European funding of the project, to obtain multiplier effects in terms of cooperation, UPVD plans to strengthen relationships with partner universities, through new bilateral agreements and structural & integrated multilateral projects that will ensure the sustainability of inter-university exchanges.
