IES Camp de Morvedre is a center that helps for coexistence in a framework of tolerance, equality and respect for freedom. The center is fully aware that we are part of an increasingly global society open to other countries that we need to increase our knowledge and teaching methods in language skills and organization in the areas of teaching, learning and management.
The project consisted in conducting the partial realization (two months) of the module "Training at work" in a company in London. It was planned as an extension of the ones that the institution has been doing continuously since the 2009 call in the Lifelong Learning Programme.
The objectives to be achieved were:
? support the inclusion of students in the European labor market, improving their language skills and personal enrichment.
? Improve the quality and effectiveness of education and training more attractive and efficient by our teaching methods.
? Improve the employability of our students by helping them to acquire and to develop better skills and professional skills.
? To promote lifelong learning and mobility of students.
? Enhancing creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship.
? Apply the values of the European Union, as set out in Article 2 of the Maastricht Treaty
The project has allowed a student of higher-level vocational training cycle taught in the institution (Web Application Development) conduct part of the training in workplaces module (two months) in a company in London (UK).
The project was carried out from a clear division of tasks and activities between the partners and the participant:
? The applicant (center), who handled all the organizing and planning, especially the selection of the participants, their cultural preparation and all aspects related to logistics and documentation. The Erasmus coordinator and the secretary of the center by the directive have been responsible.
? The host partner company, which fit exactly to participant's profile and with which we had already contact in previous years. The instructor of the company was responsible for ensuring that the previously adopted training agreement would be fulfilled
? The student participant who had to fulfill all the tasks under the training agreement.
The needs addressed in the project were basically:
1. For the participants:
? acquiring the intended learning outcomes for the module "Training at work" in the curriculum of the higher-level vocational training cycle.
? learning to fend for themselves in a very different from the usual geographical, cultural and linguistic environment.
2. For the institution:
? improving cooperation between centers and companies across Europe.
? improving the recognition of qualifications at the European level, giving full effect to the mobility and "Training at work" module.
The main objectives and the results achieved were to satisfy those needs outlined above.
The impact achieved has enabled the institution to continue the process of internationalization, which is one of the objectives of the long-term strategy.
