Our centre, Technical College Luis Suñer Sanchis, located in Alzira (Valencia province) teaches Vocational Training since its creation 30 years ago. At present it has a staff of 70 teachers and nearly 700 students. We teach Intermediate and Advanced Vocational Training (VET and Superior Studies). Our project has been focused on the professional development of our teachers, and on the improvement of their teaching quality. This project has also make the communicative competence of its participants better. The employability will be increased, also the awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries will be improved. This will make us to have the opportunity to build international social networks so as to achieve a sense of European citizenship making our college open to other European countries. Our school established a fair, transparent, coherent and certified selection process of participants, creating an European Programme Committee to perform these tasks. The selection criteria taken into account: the candidate’s motivation, the mobility objectives, the desire to share the experience after their return, the academic record and the linguistic competence. Our school is making an important task to widespread the project in our own school by giving talks to make them know this initiative. At the same time during their training period, the participants told their own experiences through social networks, and interviews. The diffusion throughout the Valencian community is done through meetings with the parents, awareness session for entrepreneurs, open house days, orientation sessions, and conferences at The Youth Institute in cooperation with the CEFIRE (Formation Teacher Service in the Valencian Community), Student Fairs, ... The media, with which we maintain cordial collaboration use to contribute to the dissemination of the project and individual actions (Alzira Rádio and Onda Cero, Local Digital Press and county: The Double Six, Riberaexpress.es). Our centre has also start making contacts with partners in differents European countries (United Kingdom, Netherlands and Ireland): - DONCASTER CITACION SERVICE CENTRE - BOL PIANO´S - Dundalk Institute of Technology, Ireland The mobilities made have given us an improvement in our teaching quality, in our national and international opinion, being a model for coming students. Besides it has given our personnel chances and incentives to acquire competences joined to our centre’s necessities. It has been realized five mobilities: - 2 student mobilities for traineeships in UK and the Netherlands, respectively. Host companies, CITATION SERVICE CENTRE DONCASTER and BOL PIANO'S, have welcomed the two students of the specialties of Transport and Logistics and International Trade, respectively. - Three staff mobility for training. Teachers have done three Job shadowing visits, according to their specialties, in the Dundalk Institute of Technology, Ireland.
