Higher education student and staff mobility projec..
Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014,
End date: Sep 30, 2015
PROJECT
FINISHED
Context and background of the project:
For our institution, the 2014-15 Erasmus project represents another step in our institution's participation in European programs. Since 2007, when we obtained the Extended Erasmus University Charter, 117 students and 41 teachers have participated in different mobilities.
But for the course 2014-15 we were awarded less than half of mobility as requested, so that meant a significant reduction in the impact of the Erasmus program in our institution.
It also should be noted that for students who want to get a mobility there is a selection criteria based on their academic performance, their language skills and proactive attitude.
Therefore, the participation of our institution in the Erasmus program involves an increase in the quality of training of many more students than those who finally do the mobility.
Goals:
The main objectives of our mobility activities are:
1) Increased levels of training.
2) Improving the quality and relevance of higher education
3) Develop a sense of belonging to the EU and international cooperation
4) The link between education, research and innovation
5) Orientation of financing and adaptation of governance
(These objectives are detailed in the web of our institution)
Number and profile of participants as well as a description of the activities carried out and results obtained individually.
In 2014-15 course, 7 students and 2 teachers participated in Erasmus+ mobilities:
A student mobility of a Personal Image Consultancy for internships in the company Adolfo Dominguez SA London (Great Britain). This company collaborates with us for 6 years and it has hired indefinitely one of our previous Erasmus student. This course was satisfactory mobility.

Two teachers mobilities, of I.T. and Vocational Training, for training to Measuresoft Development Company Ltd. This company collaborates with us for 5 years. The company shows teachers both its system of teamwork and projects, such as new software systems programming. Mobility was very satisfactory.
Results and impact obtained in general and expected long-term benefits.
Overall the impact has been good because two of our seven students have been hired in the companies where they did the mobility for training.
In the long term, the expected benefits are many as the example of these students who have been hired as an incentive to participate in the program, both students and staff of the institution. In addition it is a major prestige for our institution, as many students choose to study at our institution with the possibility of participating at the Erasmus + program.
The results obtained by the program and the personal experience of one of the participants, have been exhibited in the yearbook of the intitution, thus being publicized to the entire educational community.
Every year we visit all the companies that collaborate with us and we have a relationship that has lasted several years, so we hope a long-term mutual benefit.
