Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

In the contract year 2014, we had approved 2 mobility projects for staff. Both of them were carried out by the end of the project (both for training purposes). The first mobility was carried out in April 2016. On one of them, participant was Dr. Tanja Angleitner Sagadin, who was in the UK (Bain & Company Inc., London). She attended the 5-day Job Shadowing program aimed at acquiring additional competences, particularly in the field of economics and business consulting, as opportunities to acquire new nominations of college lecturer for new courses. Second mobility was carried out in May 2016 with a participant Maja Mrdja, who was in Croatia (Abitur Ltd., Susak). It is the company with which we want to cooperate with on the long run, as our institution wants to focus also on the education in the field of tourism. Establishment of contacts for further cooperation would bring to our students new opportunities to engage in the internships. We did not have approved places for mobility of students, therefore the students that are interested in mobility are referred to the Community of vocational colleges of the Republic of Slovenia. Lecturers and staff are informed about mobility via e-classroom (Moodle), through websites of their teaching conferences, by colleges and on personal. When we receive a concrete offers provided through e-mail for example by Erasmus + courses or International Staff Training Week, all our lecturers are informed, and the ones which we believe they would be interested in for specific events are personally contacted. We are very active on promotion and giving information about the possibilities. Therefore we are also closely monitoring and encouraging the lecturers and staff towards mobility. Through e-mail we inform them periodically about the new vacancies. Those who are interested communicate their intention to the mobility coordinator. In case that there are more potential participants than available vacancies, schools carry out the selection on the grounds of shown interest and motivation for mobility and also on the basis of the interests of the school with respect to possible future cooperation with the institutions where mobility would be carried out. This is decided by the school management. We also facilitate the arrangements between the participants and the Community of vocational colleges of the Republic of Slovenia when participants take part in mobility activities coordinated by them. Through community we organized an exchange for eight employees of Academia ltd. in Poland, Lodz with already existing partner - Special Economic Zone, with which we have been collaborating since 2012 (project THE ROLE OF THE THIRD PARTIES IN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION - Leonardo da Vinci programme). The primary purpose of the visit is an agreement for student exchanges. We also encourage mobility in our institution as a hosting organization. Willing to accept guest lecturers. This year we hosted a visiting professor from Portugal who is a specialist in the field of directing and production.
