The CIFP Ferrolterra is a centre committed to quality and continuous improvement. One of our goals for continuous improvement is the "internationalization" of our centre. Definitely this experience will enhance the employability of our students and increase its competitiveness in the face of job hunting on the one hand, and promote a higher level of education among the students. Furthermore, the linguistic skills and interculturalism of the students will be better and they will learn working methods of other countries that may lead to entrepreneurial projects in ours.
Our strategy for this project (2014-2015) was focused on student mobility to practices in work placements.
Our centre got 5 grants for High level vocational training mobilities (three recent graduates and 2 FCT) and one more through the Consortium Praxeuropa we managed completely in Germany (Cuxhaven) with the help of local schools to ensure quality companies. 3 students out of 6 got an employment contract in Germany and they are working in that country.
As a result of the quality of these mobilities our partner in Germany has demanded to us Electricians and Welders to work in Germany.
We have materialized many contacts for future collaborations in Germany, Finland, Italy, Poland and Romania.
A procedure or policy for the management of the following more detailed lessons learned for continuous improvement result in mobility was drafted.
Finally a Finnish Telecommunications student was hosted for internship in a local company for 5 months.
