The CIPFP Canastell is a public institution completely concerned with vocational training in different ways. We teach formal education with High Vocational Studies, Intermediate Vocational Studies and Basic Vocational Studies, but since we are an integrated institution, we offer Professional Qualification courses which lead to get a Certificate of Professionality.
We have contacts and cooperation with some companies in our area, whose workers follow specialized courses given by our staff. This cooperation also covers other aspects, among them we could include those referred to innovation and research. That’s why the curriculum and also the lifelong training are important for us.
Another priority for our institution is the preoccupation for social, cultural and sexual integration, which includes personal or global guidance and information. Many daily routines may be good situations to get profit of, in order to enhance dialogue and respect. Our institution also receives students from different countries in Europe and outside, which highly enrich our cultural possibilities and points of view.
We consider that training is essential to overcome the present crisis. But it is also important that both education and training are appropriate to employment and work. That is why double-direction influences must be established to continue to improve teaching and research activities. On the other hand, joint projects between the staff and the companies are needed to ensure a real social and economic progress.
The objectives that we follow when asking for mobility projects for students and higher education staff are the same. Moreover we would like to improve their attitudes and key competences, and thus widen their possibilities to find a job which could satisfy their future expectations. To internationalise our institutions, connect links of transnational cooperation among our educational institutions and companies.
We think that there is still much to be learnt and both in our country and abroad many institutions are highly prepared, that is why we want to get in touch with them.
The fact of encouraging the exchanges among the different high education institutions, would improve the teaching and learning of languages. All in all, the international dimension of education and training would be enhanced.
The requested Mobility Projects to achieve our objectives belong to the field of Higher Education KA103. We have been given:
Student Mobility for a Traineeship: 3
Staff Mobility for training periods: 1
The granted participants carried out a-three-month training period in two companies of Repairing and Maintenance of Vehicles in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The contents of the traineeship are an integrated part of the student's study programme.
Once the instructor considers a positive report, the traineeship acknowledgement is immediate and the participant is given 22 credits.
As regards the staff mobility for traineeship, it took place in a Laboratory of Water Testing in the United Kingdom for five days.
As a result of the mobilities, all the previous planned objectives of knowledge, competences, internationalisation, languages have been achieved, and the participants have obtained a job post.
The mobility for the staff traineeship has had a wide impact in the educational institution and we have already sent some students since we have strengthened links with the Laboratory and at present we are cooperating in the training period of our students.
