The 2014-1-NL01-KA103-000954 project opens a new era for Design Academy Eindhoven. Preparing our education for easier mobility, our number of international projects has increased and our connections both within and outside of Europe have intensified. But, at the same time, we are not there yet. Therefore for the new 2016 call we are making a leap, to enable the effect of our efforts in 2014-2016, namely 500% more applications and serious intents for exchange by students in the 2016/2017 academic year, for EU and non-EU destinations! Our staff and teacher mobility also shows an increase of 100%! This current academic year we are preparing an international desk, where 1,5 fte staff (and an additional full-time intern) will work on student and staff exchange, international partnerships and projects, and the underlying promotion,information,facilitation and overall management. The actual number of accepted exchange students for the first semester of 2016-2017 within EU is now 10 students; outside of EU is 5 students. We are expecting another group for applications before November of this year. We can safely say that our policy if creating a good impact on our students and the activities of our international desk are effective. For the current project 5 students have chosen for an exchange within EU; 3 students went to the US and Taiwan. Also our staff exchange has been successful during this term of the project: the cooperation with one of our partners Konstfack, has resulted in a meeting with heads of education to determine further cooperation.
