Higher education student and staff mobility project

CIFP Ánxel Casal, located in the city of A Coruña (Galicia), is a Vocational School which is dependant on Consellería de Cultura, Educación e Ordenación Universitaria de Galicia (Education Regional Council of Galicia). The studies are from  health branch and Community Services branch. The staff has been developing since 2011 an intensive activity in the framework of European Educational projects. This project is part of the Erasmus + programme, Key Action: Learning Mobility of Individuals ( KA1 ) which consists of Mobility of learners and staff. The objectives of the project are: - Increasing the number and quality of staff mobilities and student mobilities. - Improving employment because of the students learn other ways of working - Improving linguistic skills of students   - Transmitting and informing our educational community about positive values of mobilities Hosting companies are from different regions in Italy. The people who have participated in the project were: -3 students who have done a training period in Italy during 10 weeks. -1 teacher who have done a job-shadowing of 2 and 3 days in Italy. The activities carried out were: -Choosing students and staff in accordance with the arrangement principles in the project  -Looking for available workplaces for students and staff. -Organizing online language courses for students. -Processing documents -Coordinating the management of mobility, work to do, accommodations, monitoring and so on. -Spreading mobilities carried out. In general, the results and Impact of the project are:  - Photos and Reports on the school´s website. - Exhibitions showing experiences gained by individuals -Spreading European culture in the educational community. -Improving personal and professional competence of staff and students * For students:  -Improving learning outcomes and linguistic competence.  -Formal learning certification - Enhancing employability and links in the world of work * For participating teachers:  -Better quality of their work and in activities for students - Exchanging of ideas and good practices - Knowledge sharing - Establishment of new contacts for future training periods of students. The expected long-term benefits are: -Improving the organization image. -Increasing awareness of the European project and the values of the EU.  -More motivation to participate abroad in International programmes after the mobility periods. -Contributing to improve our educational system quality and vocational training studies value. -Offering a better education which enables the integration of our students in an international labour market more and more competitive. -Increasing the European dimension by the creation of a networking to cooperate with other European institutions -Contributing to the development of innovation The exchange of professional experiences will qualitatively and quantitatively improve the quality of higher vocational training and will enable greater cooperation between institutions in different countries. Students and teachers gain not only technical skills but also greater social and cultural abilities.
